Harrisburg International Airport announced some airlines will resume flights Tuesday.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, all airlines have started to reposition aircraft, crews and employees to resume a normal flight schedule as soon as possible, said airport spokesman Scott Miller.
Full restoration may take a few days, and flights to cities in the South and Midwest are expected to return faster than those to cities in the battered Northeast, he said.
Travelers should check their airline for updates on their specific flight's status before arriving at the airport, officials said. They should also check with airlines regarding rescheduled flights and policies.
