A robber tied up two Dollar General store employees before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash during a robbery at the Manchester Township store Friday night.
The employees were able to free themselves and called 911, according to Northern York County Regional Police.
The robber entered the 1500 N. George St. store a little before 9 p.m. and waited for customers to leave the store before he locked the front door, police said.
The robber showed two employees a silver handgun he had tucked in his waistband and ordered the male employee to a bathroom where the robber tied the man's hands behind his back, police said.
The robber then ordered the other employee, a female, to empty the cash register and then forced her to the bathroom and tied her up as well, police said.
Neither employee was injured. The robber is described as a black man who was wearing sunglasses, gloves and a black hat, sweatshirt and pants, police said.
