Road closures are being reported around York County and speed limit restrictions are also in place on some highways.

For instance, PennDOT at 1:30 p.m. announced that the speed limit on I-83 has been reduced to 45 mph with restrictions on commercial vehicles.

The speed limits has also been reduced to 45 mph on Route 30 and Route 15 and commercial vehicles and motorcycles are prohibited.

Meanwhile, York City Mayor C. Kim Bracey announced Monday afternoon that free parking for city residents is available in the Market Street, King Street and Philadelphia Street garages until Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 7:30 am.
