Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar will open in Springettsbury Township on Monday with an extra incentive for guests.
As part of the restaurant's grand opening celebration, the first 100 customers at the new location at 105 N. Northern Way will receive free wings for a year.
The Minneapolis-based chain of sports bars will give awards to the first 100 customers in line, who will received coupon books good for six free wings every week for a year, regional manager Peter Helfrich said last month.
Though the restaurant won't open until 10 a.m. Monday, many people camp out the night before to secure their spot as one of the first 100 in line, he said.
Between 35 and 115 people camp overnight, but at least 100 customers are in line by the time new locations open, management said.
"We have had tremendous turnout for our free wings giveaways, with Buffalo Wild Wings fans often camping overnight to guarantee their spot in line. We're looking forward to an equally enthusiastic opening here in York," said Kathy Benning, executive vice president of global marketing and brand development for the chain of restaurants.
Following the grand opening, normal hours will be 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Buffalo Wild Wings also opened a location at 81 Wilson Ave. in Hanover on Oct. 15.
Two more locations will open in the region later this year, Helfrich said. One restaurant is planned for the Colonial Park Mall in Harrisburg, and another is planned at the Carlisle Pike shopping center in Mechanicsburg near a new Wegman's
The menu for all the locations includes 18 signature wing flavors, boneless wings, specialty burgers and sandwiches, wraps, salads and more, according to a company statement.
Buffalo Wild Wings also hosts two events each week-Wing Tuesdays and Boneless Thursdays, during which guests can order their traditional or boneless wings at a special price, according to the statement.
