At Dallastown, the South Western Mustangs won a District 3 Class AAA girls' volleyball play-in round match over Hershey, 25-19, 25-15, 25-21, on Thursday.
Mariah Krumrine delivered 27 assists, three aces and seven digs for the Mustangs, while Holly Arey and Erin Harman combined for 19 kills, three aces and six digs.
With the victory, South Western moves on to play York-Adams rival Susquehannock in the round of 16. The match is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at Northern High School in Dillsburg.
OTHER GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL
YORK HIGH EDGES YORK TECH : At York, the Bearcats won the York-Adams League non-divisional senior night match, 20-25, 25-13, 25-20, 22-25, 15-11. Jasmine Berry led the Bearcats with 10 kills, nine digs and four aces. Teammates Bria Bank had five aces, eight digs, three kills, while Anastacia Howard had eight aces. For the Spartans, Cheyenne Fulcher had five aces, five kills, seven digs, while teammate Fawn Luckenbaugh had seven digs and three assists. Lauren Bupp added 11 digs, five kills and eight assists. York High won the JV match, 25-4, 25-5.
