A burglary and an attempted burglary, similar to crimes that occurred previously, were reported to Springettsbury Township Police recently.

About $50 in cash was stolen from Mr. Steve's Home Brew, located in Meadowbrook Village at 2944 Whiteford Road, when the store was burglarized between 5 p.m. Oct. 13 and 8:30 a.m. Oct. 15, according to township police.

A tool was used to pry open a rear door, police said.

Sometime between midnight Oct. 15 and 11:30 p.m. Oct. 16, someone tried to pry open a rear door of D&C Nails and Day Spa, 110 Haines Road, but failed, police said.

The two incidents are similar to a series of burglaries and attempted burglaries reported in Springettsbury and Spring Garden townships.

Police officials from the two townships previously said that officers from both departments are working together to catch those responsible for the crimes. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 757-3525.
