The York Catholic girls' soccer team dominated visiting Millersburg on Monday afternoon, 4-0, in a District 3-A first-round contest.
The No. 5-seeded Lady Irish (12-6) will now advance to the quarterfinals on Thursday against No. 4 seed Harrisburg Christian (10-3-1). The game is set for 5 p.m. at Hempfield. Harrisburg Christian had a bye in Monday's first round. No. 12 seed Millersburg finished its season at 8-9-2.
Kathleen Johnson scored twice for the Irish, with Natasha Vadas providing assists on both of her goals. Lizzie Johnson scored unassisted for York Catholic's first goal. Kelly Waser scored the final Irish goal, off an assist from Andrea Hess.
York Catholic led 1-0 at the half, but used three second-half goals to secure the victory.
Hannah Laslo had two saves to record the shutout in goal for the winners.
York Catholic held a 14-3 edge in shots on goal and a 4-2 edge in corners.

WILSON 6, DOVER 0: Dover's magical postseason run came to an end with a District 3-AAA first-round loss at No. 1 seed Wilson. The Eagles, after finishing third in York-Adams Division II in the regular season, stormed to three straight victories en route to the surprising York-Adams League Tournament title. Dover then routed Waynesboro 8-2 in a district play-in game on Saturday before running into a powerhouse Wilson team that improved to 19-1-1. Dover, which came in seeded No. 17, finished at 14-5. Alexis Swartz had six saves in goal for the Eagles. Wilson held a 12-4 edge in shots on goal.
GOV. MIFFLIN 3, DAL LASTOWN 0: The Wildcats' season came to an end with a loss to No. 5 seed Gov. Mifflin in a District 3-AAA first-round match. The No. 12-seed Wildcats, who won the York-Adams League Division I regular-season crown, finished at 16-5. Gov. Mifflin improved to 14-4. Becca Austin had five saves in goal for Dallastown, which was outshot 8-5. The Wildcats were missing three starters because of injuries.
