York-Adams Division III champion Delone Catholic (18-0) is seeded No. 1 in the District 3-AA Girls' Volleyball Tournament.
The Squirettes, who are ranked No. 4 in the state in AA by the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association, have a bye into quarterfinal action on Tuesday, Oct. 30, when they will face the winner of an opening-round contest between No. 9 seed York Catholic (9-5) and No. 8 seed West Perry (10-6). The York Catholic-West Perry match will be played at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Hempfield. Delone's contest on Tuesday, Oct. 30, is set for 7:30 p.m. at Dallastown.
The AA opening round on Saturday will also feature an all-York County meeting between No. 5 seed York Suburban (10-3) and No. 12 seed Eastern York (8-6) at Dallastown at 3 p.m. Suburban is the York-Adams Division II champion. That match will be followed at 4:30 p.m. at Dallastown by a contest between No. 13 seed West York (8-7) and No. 4 seed Palmyra (16-2).
The other York-Adams school in the AA field is No. 10 seed Hanover (11-7), which will face No. 7 seed Brandywine Heights (11-2) at 3 p.m. Saturday at Hempfield.
York-Adams Division III champion Susquehannock (11-1) is seeded No. 4 in AAA. At 3 p.m. Saturday at Northern York, the Warriors will face the winner of the opening-round match between No. 13 seed South Western (11-5) and No. 20 seed Hershey (12-4). The South Western-Hershey match is set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Dallastown.
Central York (11-3) is seeded No. 6 in AAA and will meet No. 11 seed Chambersburg (12-4) at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Penn Manor.
Hempfield (14-0) is seeded No. 1 in AAA.
In Class A, Christian School of York (8-5) is seeded No. 8 and will meet No. 1 seed Dayspring Academy (13-0) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Wilson.
