Interstate 83 is flowing again after an early-morning crash in Maryland closed both southbound lanes, backing up traffic to Exit 4, Shrewsbury, in Pennsylvania, according to police. Southern Regional Police said traffic was "moving and starting to clear up" around 8:50 a.m.

The interstate had been closed just south of the Maryland line, near Old York Road, Exit 36, around 4 a.m. because of an accident involving three tractor trailers, according to Maryland State Police.

Pennsylvania State Police said around 8:30 a.m. that traffic was backed up to Shrewsbury.
