The York High Bearcats fell into a hole by dropping the first two sets, but then battled back for a hard-fought 22-25, 19-25, 26-24, 25-20, 15-12 non-league girls' volleyball victory over visiting Harrisburg on Monday night.

Jasmine Berry and Bria Banks pounded 14 kills apiece for York, and Berry also supplied six digs and four aces. The Bearcats' Anastacia Howard and Leonna Elliott combined for nine kills, four blocks, four digs and three aces.

The JV match also required the maximum number of sets with York prevailing, 18-25, 25-21, 15-12.

OTHER GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL

BERMUDIAN SPRINGS 3, BOILING SPRINGS 0: At Boiling Springs, the Eagles won the non-league match, 25-6, 25-9, 25-10. Lauren Shearer led the visitors with eight kills, while teammate Shianne Fisher had 11 assists. Bermudian won the JV match, 25-9, 25-22.

DELONE CATHOLIC 3, DOVER 0: At Dover, the Squirettes won the match, 25-16, 25-11, 25-20. Cambria Wierman led the visitors with 11 kills, six aces and six digs. Maddy Greth had seven kills and 10 digs. Bayleigh Hoffman (11 kills, seven assists, 10 digs), Lauryn Messner (17 assists, five digs) and Jordan Crone (12 digs) led Dover. Delone won the JV match, 25-11, 25-5.

NORTHEASTERN 3, KENNARD-DALE 0: At Manchester, the Bobcats outlasted the Rams, 25-11, 25-12, 23-25, 26-24. Bayle Sowers (12 kills, 12 digs), Natalie Sietz (12 digs, seven kills) and Madison Reichard (12 digs, six kills) led Northeastern. No K-D stats were provided.
