1. ANN ROMNEY SAYS PENNSYLVANIA STILL IN PLAY FOR HUSBAND

The Republican presidential nominee's wife spent Monday making campaign appearances in the state and a new poll released today by Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University shows 50 percent of likely voters favor President Barack Obama, a Democrat, over Republican Mitt Romney, with 46 percent.

2. PRESIDENT OBAMA ORDERS FLAGS AT HALF STAFF FOR ARLEN SPECTER AS VEEP JOE BIDEN PLANS TO ATTEND FUNERAL

The 82-year-old Specter, Pennsylvania's longest-serving U.S. senator, died Sunday of complications from non-Hodgkin lymphoma. His funeral service is scheduled for noon at Har Zion Temple in Penn Valley, near Philadelphia.

3. PENNSYLVANIA HAS BECOME THE 15TH STATE TO REPORT FUNGAL MENINGITIS FROM STEROID INJECTION

Fifteen people have died and more than 200 have been sickened across the U.S. The Pennsylvania patient received an injection in July at a medical clinic in Altoona and began feeling ill last month.

4. SHOW ME THE FRACKING MONEY

Pennsylvania state agencies and local governments are learning how much money they will get out from a fund that has already collected about $204 million in "impact fees" from Marcellus shale drillers.

5. SHOOTING AT YOUTH FOOTBALL GAME IN PITTSBURGH NOW DEADLY

A 64-year-old woman wounded in the shooting Saturday has died and police Chief Nate Harper says he expects officers to issue arrest warrants for those responsible soon. Two other people were wounded, including a 27-year-old Wilkinsburg man who police believe was targeted by the shooters as part of an ongoing dispute.
