A bomb threat made to a Shrewsbury bank was unfounded, but police are asking for information as they continue to investigate the incident.

An upset woman called the Sovereign Bank at 14655 Mount Airy Road about 2:30 p.m. Friday and told an employee that she had placed a bomb at the bank, according to Southern York County Regional Police.

The bank was evacuated, and police and fire officials searched the property but did not find a bomb. The bank reopened a short time later, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 717-235-3944 or through 911.
