The Walmart on East Market Street in Springettsbury Township has been evacuated because of a bomb threat.
At 2:57 p.m., a woman called in a bomb threat to the store, said Springettsbury Township Police Chief Tom Hyers.
Managers evacuated the store, in the 2800 block of East Market Street, within 10 to 15 minutes, police said.
Walk-throughs were done by police, and no bombs were found, Hyers said.
Officials are now waiting to take bomb-sniffing dogs through the site to make sure there is no danger. Those dogs arrived at 4:30 p.m.
Police said it might be three to four hours before the store reopens.
Southern Regional Police said a bomb threat was also phoned in to the Sovereign Bank in the 14000 block of Mount Airy Road at about 2:30 p.m.
The bank was evacuated, but has since reopened, police said.
