A York College student allegedly kicked a campus safety officer after being busted for underage drinking early Sunday morning.

Thomas Reed Wells, 18, of West Chester is charged with furnishing alcohol to minors, purchasing alcohol underage and harassment, according to Spring Garden Township Police.

A campus safety officer was investigating a report of underage drinking and detained Wells and another student, whose name was not released, just after 1 a.m., police said.

As Wells was being escorted from a dorm room on campus, he kicked a safety officer in the leg, police said.

Spring Garden Township Police were alerted to the incident and filed charges against Wells on Thursday.
