Two catalytic converters were stolen from vehicles parked at a Manchester Township park and ride lot on Monday.
The thefts happened sometime between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the parking lot on Board Road near Church Road, according to Northern York County Regional Police.
Someone used an unknown type of saw to cut away the catalytic converters from a 2002 Toyota pickup truck and a 2007 Toyota SUV, police said.
The victims realized the thefts occurred after starting their vehicles and hearing that the exhaust sound was much louder than normal.
The catalytic converters are valued at $500 each, police said.
