York's Ian Lau finished second in the Pro Sport Class at the Jefferson Hill Climb on Sunday.

Lau, riding a Honda, raced to the top of the 300-foot hill in 8.61 seconds. Nick Drummer of Portage won the event in 8.59 seconds, and Chris Chartier of Millbury, Mass., was third in 8.67.

Nate Redmann, of Rochester, Minn., captured the Xtreme Division by riding his Yamaha to the summit in an impressive 7.02 seconds.

Following Redmann were: Phil Libhart, East Petersburg, Triumph, 7.41; Scott Wentz, Portage, Suzuki, 7.46; Colby McCutcheon, Ripley, W.Va., Honda, 7.70; Vincent Nuzzolilli, Monson, Mass., Kawasaki, 7.95; Robbie DeBusk, Brownstown, Yamaha, 8.09; and Alex Benner, Niles, Mich., Honda, 8.26. Mike Livingston, of Glen Rock, placed ninth in 8.74 seconds. Livingston rode a Honda.

Jay Sallstrom, of Mankato, Minn., won the Unlimited Division with a time of 7.26 while riding a Yamaha. Nuzzolilli (7.33), McCutcheon (7.64), Benner, (7.72) Tiger Strank, of Johnstown, Honda, (7.78), Wentz (7.82) and Libhart (7.89) completed the first seven. Jamie Sweitzer, of York, on a Triumph, placed 14th with a time of 9.73 seconds.
