A flatbed trailer and the load that was on it were stolen from a Manchester Township parking lot earlier this week.

Northern York County Regional Police took a report of the theft on Sunday.

The 1998 Fontaine flatbed trailer that was loaded with two metal rollers used in the manufacturing of paper products was parked in a parking lot on Church Road near Derry Court when it was stolen, police said.

The trailer was to be transported to Wisconsin from York, and the rollers, which were covered by a red tarp, are valued at $100,000. One of the rollers was packaged in a wooden crate, police said.

The metal rollers are internally pressurized. Cutting or tampering with the rollers could result in the pressurized portion exploding, police said.
