Bobby Brunner is at it again.
The founder of Neighbors Helping Neighbors has organized another giveaway for Saturday, Oct. 13.
Volunteers will distribute food, furniture, toys, clothes and cleaning supplies between noon and 4:30 p.m. at Outhouse Storage, 1251 Wallace St.
Anyone can show up to receive help.
Brunner started the nonprofit in 2009 after a fire displaced 61 families from their homes on Chestnut Street in York City. The group has been collecting donations and giving them to the underprivileged ever since.
The Oct. 13 giveaway will include bicycle helmets, winter coats and 6,000 pounds of non-perishable food.
For the third year, Brunner is also planning to spend a week collecting donations from a tent he'll pitch at Re-Source York, 405 Carlisle Ave. in York.
That donation drive is tentatively scheduled for the third week in November. Brunner said he'll be asking the community to donate winter clothes and new toys. Then, he'll give them away at another giveaway before Christmas.
"Last year, I ended up with so much stuff, I had two events," he said.
