A York area man allegedly assaulted a Springettsbury Township Police officer as he was being arrested earlier this month.
Robert Christopher Zerbe, 31, no address provided, is charged with resisting arrest, aggravated assault and DUI, according to township police.
He is free on $5,000 unsecured bail, according to online court records.
An officer stopped the vehicle Zerbe was driving for a traffic violation in the 2700 block of Mount Rose Avenue at 2:23 a.m. on Sept. 15, police said.
The officer discovered Zerbe was under the influence of alcohol and as the officer attempted to arrest Zerbe, he resisted arrest and assaulted the officer, police said.
The officer was able to subdue Zerbe and took him into custody, police said.
