Police responded to a call to the 200 block of South Sherman Street at 4:40 a.m. and found Leonard Smith sitting on the front steps of a house, with a wound in the area of his left buttocks, according to a news release.

Smith was transported to York Hospital by White Rose Ambulance to be treated for his injury, which did not appear to be life threatening, the news release said.
