COATESVILLE, Pa.—Officials say an early morning fire has claimed the life of a southeastern Pennsylvania woman and her son.

Fire officials say mother and child were found upstairs in one of three homes damaged by Tuesday morning's fire in Coatesville, Chester County. Their identities and ages were not immediately released.

About 30 other residents were displaced by the blaze. There's no word yet on what sparked the fire.

Coatesville is about 35 miles west of Philadelphia.
