Glenville resident Todd Peck returned home Monday from Iowa after competing in his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race this year.

Competing in his No. 96 Stopain Chevrolet on Saturday, Peck placed 28th in the American Ethanol 200 at the Iowa Speedway.

The race was broadcast live on the SPEED Channel to an audience of more than a million viewers.

Peck said in a news release that issues with the truck's engine played a role in the race.

"We're all a bit disappointed with our finishing position on the track," Peck said in the news release. "We are going to go back and look at our engine program and see where we can improve. We want to compete better than that for everyone that is supporting us."

It marked the team's fourth overall career start in the national series. Peck is next scheduled to compete in the Kroger 200 at the Martinsville (Va.) Speedway on Oct. 27.
