Rain is expected to begin early Tuesday morning and continue through Tuesday and Tuesday night, the forecast said. Up to 2.5 inches of rain is expected, with severe thunderstorms possible. This amount of rain could cause flooding in small streams and low-lying areas, the NWS said.

Tuesday's high will be 75 and the low 56, and winds will be from the southeast at 9-15 mph, with gusts up to 38 mph, the forecast said.

Wednesday will be partly sunny and cooler, with a high of 69 and low of 47, and northwest winds of 8-10 mph, the forecast said.

Thursday will be mostly sunny, with a high of 71 and low of 50, the NWS said, and Friday will be mostly sunny, with a high of 74 and low of 54.

Saturday has a chance of showers, with a high of 74 and low of 54, the forecast said.
