State police are investigating a series of burglaries that happened recently in southern York County.
A Peach Bottom Township home was burglarized sometime during a two-hour span on Sept. 10 as its 53-year-old homeowner was away.
Stolen were a mini cedar chest and jewelry box containing jewelry, including a number of turquoise pieces, a gold watch and Catholic medals, according to state police.
The home in the 800 block of Lay Road was burglarized sometime between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Several items were stolen from a home in the 400 block of Mill Street in Fawn Township between 6:45 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. on Sept. 10, police said.
Also that day, items were stolen from a home n the 100 block of Wise Road in Peach Bottom Township between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., police said.
A home in the first block of Robin Trail in Peach Bottom Township was burglarized between July 6 and Sept. 10 as its out-of-state owner was away, police said.
