A man and a woman allegedly lived in a vacant Shrewsbury Township home that is for sale for six months without permission from the homeowner.

Nichole Lynn Betts, 30, and Charles Anthony Adams Jr., 32, both of no fixed address, are each charged with burglary and trespassing, according to online court documents.

State police allege the pair stayed at a home in the 10000 block of Rockburn Road until they were arrested just after noon on Sept. 3.

The home is listed for sale by a man who is an acquaintance of Betts, police said. Betts remains in York County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bail. Adams is free on $2,000 bail.

Preliminary hearings for Betts and Adams are scheduled for Oct. 1.
