Police believe speed and alcohol are factors in a crash that closed Salem Road in North Codorus Township for about an hour Saturday.

William Routson, 55, of the York area was driving a pickup truck north on Salem Road when he lost control and crashed in the area of Cherry Lane Saturday afternoon, according to Southwestern Regional Police.

The pickup hit an embankment and overturned, coming to a stop on its side on the road, police said.

Police did not say if Routson was injured or not.
