Northern York County Regional Police are asking for the owner of a package of heroin that was found in Conewago Township on Tuesday to come forward and claim the lost drugs.

A resident found the package while walking near his house in the first block of Dietz Estates Drive and called police.

Police responded and located the package, which contained 650 individual packets of heroin, that was wrapped in duct tape, according to police.

One end of the package was torn open as if an animal ripped it open, police said.

Anyone with information or anyone who would like to claim ownership is asked to contact police at 292-3647 or use the crime tip reporting portion of nycrpd.org.
