A hiker stumbled onto 30 marijuana plants in a Jackson Township cornfield Thursday afternoon, police said.

Northern York County Regional Police responded to the field, in the 4800 block of Emig School Road, just before 5 p.m. and cut down the plants, which were 8 to 10 feet tall, police said.

Police hauled the plants back to their headquarters.

Police said anyone who wants to claim ownership of the crop can contact officers at 292-3647 or through nycrpd.org.
