The West York field hockey team exploded for four second-half goals en route to a 4-1 victory over Kennard-Dale on Thursday afternoon in Fawn Grove.
The Bulldogs are now alone in first place in York-Adams Division II at 2-0-0. The Bulldogs moved back down to Division II this season after spending two seasons in Division I. Before moving up to Division I, West York had won three straight Division II titles in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
The Bulldogs also more than held their own during their stay in Division I, finishing second in 2011with an 11-3-0 record.
Kristi Stambaugh led the Bulldogs with two assists, while Heather Bushover, Madison Wampler, Morgan Miller and Holli Eppley each scored one goal. Kasey Miner added one assist.
For the Rams, Julia D'Arrigo scored a goal, while Lindsay Duty picked up an assist. West York limited the Rams to one shot on goal.

DALLASTOWN 3, NEW OXFORD 0: At New Oxford, the Wildcats improved to 4-0-0 in York-Adams Division I action. Paige Barefoot, Hope Kohlbus and Julia Snyder scored second-half goals for Dallastown, while Bryna Cook added an assist. Niki Bream had two saves to record the shutout. Dallastown also won the JV match, 3-0.
CENTRAL 3, DOVER 0: At Central, Lauren Moyer led the Panthers to the York-Adams Division I victory by scoring two goals and adding one assist. Kelly Williamson scored one goal, Kadie Surgenor picked up one assist and Kelsie Newman stopped two shots in goal to record the shutout. Central won the JV match, 1-0.
RED LION 5, SOUTH WESTERN 2: At Red Lion, the Lions led 2-1 at the half and went on to capture the York-Adams Division I victory. Ali Posey led the Lions with four goals. Also for Red Lion, Alyssa Castle scored one goal, while Alexa Taylor and Cassidy Barshinger each picked up one assist. Red Lion won the JV match, 4-1.
HANOVER 3, LITTLES TOWN 2 (OT): At Littlestown, Renee Eisenberg scored the game-winning goal at the 10:08 mark in overtime. Lynne Eisenberg scored one goal and added an assist. For Littlestown, Kelsey Harteis scored one goal and added one assist.
BERMUDIAN SPRINGS 2, DELONE CATHOLIC 1: At McSherrystown, the Eagles rallied from a 1-0 first-half deficit to beat Delone. Bri Saddler scored for Delone off an assist from Tori Corbin. Rajchel Moore and Shannon Kuhn scored for Bermudian. Delone won the JV match, 4-1.
EASTERN 1, YORK SUBURBAN 0: The visiting Golden Knights took York Suburban to overtime, where Sydney Dietzel slipped one past goal keeper Collen Dommel for the game-winning score. Dommel recorded two saves, while Eastern goalie Gabby Graham made two stops. The Trojans put eight shots on goal to the Knights' four.
BIGLERVILLE 4, FAIR FIELD 0: At Biglerville, Rachel Asper scored three goals to lead the Canners to the easy win.
