West York clinched at least a tie for the York-Adams League Division II golf championship on Thursday afternoon.

The Bulldogs and Eastern York each finished with 390 totals at Cool Creek Golf Club. West York, however, was awarded first place because their No. 6 golfer, Chase Neiderer, had a better score than Eastern's No. 6 golfer. Neiderer fired a 90.

Josh Rinehart (73), Axel Hartman (74) and Chris Stolakis (79) each broke 80 for West York. Rinehart had the low individual score on the day.

Eastern was paced by Mike Bair (74), Andrew Davis (76) and James Davis (79).

Susquehannock finished third in the team race with a 413 total. Caleb Bryant shot 79 for the Warriors.

The only other golfer to break 80 was York Suburban's Devin Moore (76).

West York (25-0) now has a 15-point lead in the division (75-60) over second-place Eastern (20-5) heading into the final Division II regular-season tournament, which will be held on the Bulldogs' home course at Briarwood West on Tuesday. As long as West York doesn't finish last in that tournament, the Bulldogs will win the title outright.
