A Conewago Township woman jumped into an occupied car that doesn't belong to her, then exited and ran into a Springettsbury Township jewelry store in an attempt to get away from a grocery store loss prevention officer.
Barb Seitz, 48, of 985 Green Springs Road is charged with retail theft and harassment, according to Springettsbury Township Police.
She allegedly stole $23.17 worth of merchandise from the Giant Food Store located at 2415 E. Market St. at 11:10 a.m. on Sept. 5, police said.
As a loss prevention officer was chasing her, Seitz got into the occupied car. The owner of the car told Seitz to get out, and she did, police said.
