A Manchester Township woman kicked a Northern York County Regional Police officer in the groin as she was being led to a patrol car early Tuesday morning, police said.

Kristen Ann Krout, 21, of 2680 N. Susquehanna Trial in the township is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and trespass, police said.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Bruaw Drive just after 1 a.m. for a reported a disturbance. Witnesses told officers that a woman, later found out to be Krout, was banging on the sliding glass door of a home and yelling, police said.

Krout refused to leave the witnesses' property and continued to bang on the door while yelling, police said.

Officers located an intoxicated Krout at a nearby house and attempted to arrest her, police said.

Krout attempted to kick officers who were able to place her under arrest.

As an officer was leading Krout to a patrol car, she turned around and kicked him in the groin, police said.

The officer was not injured.
