Country Club of York golfer Connie Shorb was eliminated from the United States Golf Association Senior Women's Amateur on Monday.

Shorb lost to Mina Harden, 3 & 1, in a first-round match. Hardin was the runner-up in last year's tournament and was the tournament winner in 2010.

The event is taking place at the par-74, 6,220-yard Hershey Country Club West Course.

Shorb qualified for the match-play portion of the event by shooting a pair of 81s in stroke-playing qualifying, tying her for 36th. The top 64 from stroke-play qualifying advanced to match play.

Shorb has qualified for the 50-and-over event 13 times, making the match-play round each time. In her best-ever finish, she reached the match-play quarterfinals.
