Port Royal was somehow able to beat the rain that hampered the southern part of the local dirt-track circuit Saturday evening.

While Lincoln and Williams Grove were rained out on Saturday, the Port got the Tuscarora 50 into the books. Doug Esh raced to victory. Esh's first win anywhere this season was worth $11,450. Ironically, Esh's only other Port Royal win came in this race in 2007.

Esh took the lead from Brent Marks on the 35th lap, and avoided the problems that beset many in the closing stages of the race to take the win. Marks and Mike Erdley, who were running second and third at the time, both suffered flat tires in the final five laps of the race.

All Star regular David Gravel finished second in the All Star-sanctioned race, while Friday's winner, Dale Blaney, was third. Mike Wagner and Danny Lasoski completed the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Daryn Pittman, who clinched the All Star East point title, Cap Henry, Blane Heimbach, Ryan Smith and Chad Layton, who clinched the Port Royal point title.

Derricke Garman won the pro-stock event.

On Friday, Blaney set sail for the $5,000 victory in the non-stop 30-lap feature. Stevie Smith finished second, with Lance Dewease, Danny Dietrich and Fred Rahmer in the top five. Rounding out the top 10 were Gravel, Tim Shaffer, Danny Holtgraver, Layton and Paul McMahon.

Brett Schadel won the late-model feature over Dover's Coleby Frye. Chad Hellenbeck, Mike Lupfer and Jeff Rine completed the top five.
