An Enola woman is accused of punching her young daughter in the face and head several times.
Fairview Township Police arrested Pamela Summer Kichman, 19, of Columbia Road on Friday.
She is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and simple assault, police said.
The charges stem from a Monday, Sept. 3, incident in which Kichman allegedly assaulted her daughter while they were at a friend's Fairview Township home, police said.
While at that home, Kichman got mad at the child for crying and took her outside, police said.
When the friend went outside to check, the friend found Kichman laughing and admitted that she threw the child down the stairs, police said.
The friend also told police that she then saw Kichman punch the child several times in the face and head, and shake her violently. Kichman also allegedly threw the child on the porch, striking her head, police said.
The friend saw the child twitching as if she were having a seizure, police said.
The child was taken to the hospital by following day by her grandmother and was treated and released, police said.
