A former Enola man allegedly rammed his estranged wife's SUV with his dump truck in Fairview Township last week.

Michael J. Beatty, 38, is charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and reckless driving, according to online court records.

He is free on $5,000 bail, documents state.

Police were dispatched to the intersection of Shawnee Court and Limekiln Road in New Cumberland for a crash about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Officers found that Beatty deliberately drove his Ford F-350 dump truck into his estranged wife's Chevrolet Trailblazer. The speeds were low because Beatty accelerated from a stopped position not far from the woman's SUV.

No one was injured in the crash.

The incident occurred shortly after there was a nonviolent domestic dispute between Beatty and his wife in Enola, police said.
