Officers arrested a 76-year-old York City woman who screamed and cursed at a Comcast employee who had just informed her she needed to pay $67 to have her cable service restored, police said.
Mardella Cunningham, of 663 E. Market St., is being cited with harassment and disorderly conduct for the 4:15 p.m. incident Saturday at Comcast's 221 W. Philadelphia St. office, York City Police said.
According to police, when Cunningham first walked into the office, she asked to speak with a clerk who had helped her before, asking "Where's that ... b-- at?"
Another clerk offered to help Cunningham and informed the woman she needed to pay Comcast $67 to have her cable turned back on, police said.
Cunningham responded by screaming, "F-- you, b--" over and over, about 50 times in a five-minute period, according to police.
She also struck the clerk's hand several times with a paper bag, then yelled at other Comcast workers and tried to kick out the office's glass windows and doors before leaving the building, police said.
Responding officers arrested Cunningham not far from the Comcast office. She was released after being cited, police said.
