York City Police will have a booth at the York Fair, inside Memorial Hall, West Corner.

The booth will be open all 10 days of the fair, which starts Friday, and the hours of operation are 4-9 p.m. Monday-Friday and noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The booth will feature uniformed officers, police chaplains and civilian staff from the department each day. Assisting will be Citizen Police Academy Alumni.

Regular features include daily drawings, crime quiz, safety/ crime prevention information and child thumbprint cards. During special events, McGruff the Crime Dog will appear, gun safety trigger locks will be available, and fairgoers can try Fatal Vision goggles.
