A Dover man left a 3-year-old child alone inside a vehicle on a hot day last week, according to West York Police.
Daniel Travis Zeigler, 27, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Bail was set at $5,000 during his arraignment Friday.
Zeigler is wanted on a bench warrant out of Adams County for a drug paraphernalia charge.
An officer was on patrol when he saw the child sitting in a safety seat alone inside a vehicle parked in the 1700 block of Stanton Street at 2:44 p.m., police said.
The officer spoke with the child and waited five minutes before Zeigler, who was caring for the child, returned to the vehicle, police said.
The temperature during the time of the incident was 93, police said
Zeigler was arrested and taken to central booking to be arraigned.
