Tuesday will see heavier rain, with showers and storms dropping as much as 3 inches by Tuesday night, the forecast said. The high will be 82 and the low 71, and winds will be from the south at around 9 mph.

The chance of showers and thunderstorms continues Wednesday, with a high of 84 and low of 68, the NWS said. Winds will be from the west at 6 mph.

The sun will return Thursday, with a high of 87 and low of 65, the forecast said.

For Friday's opening of the York Fair, the area can expect a sunny day, with a high of 84 and low of 62, the service said.
