Share your unique talent on YouTube and you could win $1,000.

Local singers, dancers, comedians, magicians and anyone else with a talent they want to share with an audience will perform for the grand prize in York's Got Talent, being hosted by the Children's Aid Society on Sunday, Oct. 21.

Entries are being accepted now through Monday, Sept. 10.

To enter, post a clip of yourself on YouTube and email it to petulay@cassd.org.

The clip should be no longer than three minutes, and there is a nonrefundable $25 entry fee.

The board at the Children's Aid Society will select 12 finalists to perform on Oct. 21, and cash prizes will be awarded to the first-, second- and third-place finalists.

Everyone is welcome to attend the free community event.

That day businesses will also be welcome to compete in Minute to Win It competitions inside the stadium, said Petula Yingling, development associate with Children's Aid Society.

The York's Got Talent competition itself is open to anyone age 5 and older in York, Adams and Franklin counties, which is the area that the Children's Aid Society serves.

The Children's Aid Society runs the Lehman Center in downtown York, which offers family advocates, a crisis nursery, counseling to children and support group for parents.
