A man who lives in the 3400 block of Tower Drive in Dover Township told officers he spotted a prowler standing on his back porch and peering inside a window, police said.

Northern York County Regional Police said it happened about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The prowler, who was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, fled after the resident turned on his outside lights, police said.

People who think saw the prowler -- or who witnessed any suspicious people or behavior -- are asked to call 911 immediately, or leave a tip online at nycrpd.org.
