York City Police are investigating a shooting that happened about 2 p.m. Saturday.

Officers called to the 200 block of North Queen Street found Marcel Beaver, 18, of York, shot in the neck. He was conscious and alert and walking around in the area of Pine and Walnut streets, police said.

Beaver was taken to York Hospital. His condition could not be obtained Monday morning, but police said he is expected to survive his wound.
