York City Police arrested three men Wednesday afternoon after being issued a search warrant for a property at 584 Salem Ave. The arrested include a man who was allegedly driving on a suspended license when he dragged a police officer from his car.

Around 4 p.m., officers arrested Juan Rosario, 45, of 586 Salem Ave., for delivery of heroin. Ramon Torres, 61, no address provided, was arrested for possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Joshua Rafael Velez-Padilla, 28, of 2406 Cape Horn Rd. in Red Lion, was also found in the house, police said.

Police were looking Velez-Padilla after he allegedly dragged a police officer about 10 feet with his car and fled from police after being stopped for a loud music violation on Saturday.

Police said the man was stopped in the 400 block of West College Avenue when Officer Michael Meeker discovered he was driving on a suspended license and ordered him out of the car.

Velez-Padilla started to get out of the car, then changed his mind and got back into the vehicle, police said. He threw the car into gear and accelerated as Meeker was attempting to pull him out of the car, police said. The officer had to throw himself aside to avoid being run over.

Velez-Padilla is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer. All three men were taken to Central Booking and arraigned, police said.
