The Penn State Cooperative Extension will spray portions of Dover Township on Monday evening in an effort to control the adult mosquito populations.

Weather permitting, the spray is scheduled to take place in the area north of Davidsburg Road from West Canal Road to Carlisle Road and in the residential areas of Palomino Road, Park Street and Wyatt Circle.

Tuesday is the rain date for the spray event.

Samples collected by the Penn State Cooperative Extension's York County West Nile Virus Program on August 8 revealed high mosquito populations that can carry the West Nile Virus in the area, according to a news release.
