Motorists will encounter lane restrictions on the Wrights Ferry Bridge on Route 30 over the Susquehanna River two days this week.
The lane restrictions will affect westbound travelers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The restrictions are needed so bridge crews can pour sections of the latex-modified concrete deck, PennDOT said.
The $9.3 million bridge rehabilitation project, which began in early 2011, includes the replacement of the metal bridge joints, repairs to structural steel that has experienced rust and deterioration, concrete deck repair, and other work.
This work should help extend the life of the bridge another 20 to 25 years.
