A pickup truck was stolen and a number of vehicles were broken into during a spate of thefts in Shrewsbury late Sunday night into Monday morning.

The thefts occurred on Woodland Drive and items stolen include GPS units, money and sunglasses, according to Southern Regional Police.

All the vehicles were unlocked at the time of the thefts.

The stolen pickup truck has not yet been recovered.

Suspects attempted to steal another vehicle but were unsuccessful, police said.

Police are advising residents to keep their vehicles locked and to report suspicious activity.
