The York Fair is presenting a pop group concert to draw youth to the fairgrounds on a Saturday night.

R5, a five-member group, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Toyota Grandstand, according to Gene Schenck, the fair's president.

Tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Thursday. The concert cost is $10, which includes the fairgrounds admission cost, Schenck said.

"(R5 is) highly rated, and everybody likes them," he said. "We're trying to create special, special Saturdays for the kids at the fair."

The Los Angeles-based group is made up of four siblings, Riker, Rydel, Rocky and Ross Lynch, and their best friend, Ellington Ratliff.

R5 has been on tour along the West Coast and is working on a debut album for Hollywood Records.

Also, Riker is a frequent guest star on the FOX television show "Glee," while Ross - R5's lead vocalist - is the star of the Disney Channel Original series "Austin & Ally."
