A York City man was arrested Thursday morning after an attempted robbery in the city.

Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West Philadelphia Street about 6:40 a.m. for a report of an attempted robbery involving a knife, according to city police.

A short time later, Richard D. Graham, 25, of 288 Union St. in the city was arrested at Cottage Hill Road and Pershing Avenue, police said.

Graham was taken to central booking where he was arraigned on robbery and possession of an instrument of a crime charges, according to online court documents.

He was remanded to York County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail, documents state.

Graham is also wanted on a warrant out of Lancaster County.
