A woman was at home Thursday morning when a man entered her house and stole the woman's purse before he fled.

The woman was in a bedroom of her home in the 1200 block of Greenbriar Road in Manchester Township when she heard the doorbell ring about 11:55 a.m., according to Northern York County Regional Police.

Moments later the woman heard a loud crash at her front door. As she walked into the kitchen, she found a man standing there holding her purse, police said.

The man fled from the home with the purse, which contained identification cards and $100 cash, and was last seen driving south on Greenbriar Road, police said.

The woman didn't have her glasses on at the time of the burglary but was able to provide police with a description of the man. He is a 5-foot-10 black male who was driving a white station wagon, police said.
